I have had the fortune to SUP around the world but I can honestly say, my favourite route is paddle boarding Charmouth and Lyme Regis. After careful wind, weather, swell and tide analysis, its a gentle 40 minute paddle each way. I tend to start in Charmouth and paddle board to Lyme Regis, stop for a hot chocolate or rose (depending on the time of year) & paddle back. The stretch of coast between the two is rugged, colourful and dramatic, and there are a couple of Daisy's (the dog), favourite beaches to pull in to on the return journey for some ball time on dry land.
All safety equipment is provided, including wetsuits, leashes and buoyancy aids; you can rest assured you are in safe hands with our ASI qualified instructors, CRB checked, trained in coaching, first aid and SUP safety and rescue. We have a range of boards to offer, depending on your location and ability level.
Don't forget to bring sunscreen and some old sunglasses and a hat if you have them!
Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) is accessible to all ages and abilities. Subject to water conditions, and with some instruction, most people are standing up and smiling ear to ear, having mastered the basics in an hour! For the more adventurous we can advance to Yoga moves and fitness training or longer paddles & safaris along this stunning stretch of coast

LOCATION SUGGESTIONS

Charmouth Beach - Charmouth
This is where I do the majority of teaching as it offers fantastic variety if the sea gets choppier. There is a river to start on before progressing into the sea for beginners but its straight onto the sea for the more experienced. The scenery is simply stunning as you head towards lyme Regis, with both seals and dolphins spotted recently. Perfect for all abilities and my favourite location to teach in

Monmouth Beach - Lyme Regis
Explore the heart of the Word Heritage Jurassic Coast. Heading either east towards Charmouth, taking in the Cobb and the beautiful seaside town of Lyme Regis. Or heading West towards the deserted beaches and staggering beauty of Undercliffs. This is a really special experience, best in calm conditions, especially as an evening or early morning paddle. Suited to all abilities.

Ferry Bridge - The Fleet, Weymouth
This route runs along the bank of Chesil Beach, through the Fleet Nature Reserve, a saline lagoon rich in wildlife. This is a great safari for the nature lovers (like me!), Sheltered and tranquil, suited to all abilities but subject to sea conditions.
Lulworth Cove Sundowner
There is nothing quite like the feeling of watching the sunset over this awesome World Heritage site; tick this off the bucket list! Suited to all abilities when the water conditions are right
Portland
Starting at the very end of Chesil Beach, this one of my favourites in the right conditions. Paddle in the shadows of the cliffs of Portland stone, with seals for company! Suited to advanced.
Wareham - Poole
Make a day of it! Starting at Poole, heading to the waterside town of Wareham for lunch, then back to explore the islands around Poole, or deeper inland through the tranquil waterways. Inland route suited to all abilities, islands route better suited to confident paddlers.
